What to Watch For: Minnesota Vikings vs. Denver Broncos

Minnesota Vikings face the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium, here are a few things to watch for during the game…

Getting Adrian Peterson Going

Vikings offense  are going back to the power run game after 3 games.  Adrian Peterson might have to carry this offense like he did in 2012 with an arguably less talented team then. Peterson is looking for 100 yard game his third straight contest. Against the number one ranked defense this will be Peterson’s toughest challenge thus far, don’t be surprised if he wins.

Teddy might continue to struggle

Teddy Bridgewater against the number one defense might continue to struggle. We forget that Bridgewater struggled early last season while trying to figure out the offense. The change of Peterson in the lineup has indeed changed the offense but once he grasps I think we will see the quarterback we were expecting. Patience is needed Vikings fans, lets not call Bridgewater a bust two years in a row, especially after he disapproved that last year.

The Battle of the Trenches

This game will be won in the trenches. Both teams have a shaky offense of line, though the Vikings have played well especially Matt Kalil. Pass rushers Everson Griffen of the Vikings, and Von Miller and Demarcus Ware of the Broncos, all look to have a multiple pressures and sacks on the opposing quarterbacks. I see Vikings winning this battle because of the depleted Denver offensive line. Winning in the trenches doesn’t mean much  though if Peyton Manning is able to get the ball out before he gets hit.
